  • The Merry Widow

"Martin André conducted the Opera North orchestra with such colour and schwung that it practically became a character in its own right."
Following the success of the Janáček and Ravel operas that Martin conducted for Opera North (UK) last year, he will return to the Company this autumn to conduct Lehár´s iconic opera The Merry WIdow. This opera will reunite him with the stage director Giles Havergal, with whom Martin enjoyed two very happy collaborations: The Barber of Seville (Welsh National Opera) and Ariadne auf Naxos (Vancouver Opera).
